The Nassau Bay Volunteer Fire Department elects the members who shall serve in the leadership roles of the department. This election occurs once a year at the May Business Meeting. Their terms are for one year. The NBVFD has no term limitations. Some members remain in thier positions for many years.

The Officers of the NBVFD are divided into two groups, Line Officers and Adminstrative Officers.
